Solo / Duo / Trio Dungeon System
A new system designed to make dungeon and TMQ content accessible for smaller parties.
Overview
The new Solo/Duo/Trio Dungeon System allows players to complete eligible dungeons and TMQs with smaller groups while receiving alternative progression rewards.
Instead of normal boss loot, players running content with 1–3 players will receive Coins of Hope.
These coins can be exchanged for dungeon-related gear through the NPC:
- GBT-Hope Collector
- Located in Korin Village near the Auction House
Coins of Hope System
Eligible Parties
The system activates when entering supported dungeon or TMQ content with:
- 1 Player (Solo)
- 2 Players (Duo)
- 3 Players (Trio)
Standard parties with 4 or more players continue using the original drop system.
Reward Scaling
Coin rewards scale based on the amount of real players in the party.
The system counts:
- Unique accounts
- Not character count
This exists to discourage multibox abuse.
Important Conditions
- Normal mobs keep their original drops
- Unique drops such as Cards can still drop normally
- If a player exceeds the dungeon level by 10+ levels, the original loot system is used instead
- Full party runs remain the most profitable source of direct gear drops
Party Scaling Adjustments
To support smaller parties, difficulty scaling has been heavily adjusted.
| Party Size | Damage Reduction | BID Reduction | Skill Damage Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 91% | 90% | 175% |
| Duo | 80% | 78% | 125% |
| Trio | 70% | 67% | 75% |
| 4 Players | 22% | — | None |
Parties of 4 benefit from damage reduction only and do not use the Coins of Hope system.
CC Battle Dungeon
CC Battle Dungeon also benefits from the new damage reduction and damage amplification system.
However:
- Drops remain unchanged
- LP/EP Regen remains disabled
- Existing mechanics remain intact
This keeps CCBD challenging despite the new scaling system.
Purpose of the System
This system was created to help players complete older content more easily when full parties are difficult to form.
As more players reach end game, earlier content can become harder to organize. The Solo/Duo/Trio system ensures that progression remains possible for all players.
Piñata System & Boss Drop Rework
Bosses across the game can now reward additional bonus items.
Global Boss Reward Changes
All bosses included in the Achievement List now have a chance to drop special bonus rewards.
Drop chances increase depending on:
- Boss level
- Boss rarity
Example:
- UD7 Bardock has one of the highest drop chances
