Sub Classes Guide

Overview

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, players can choose one of the available Sub Classes for their character. This guide details the Sub Class options available and provides step-by-step instructions for completing the Sub Class quests. Your choice of Sub Class is permanent, so choose wisely based on your preferred playstyle.

Swordsman Path

Swordsman Specialization

Weapon: Sword

Swordsman Sub-Class: High Damage per Second, Physical and Energy AOE Attacks

The Swordsman class is a close quarters combatant that defeats its opponents with quick precise slashes, often used best by assaulting unsuspecting targets from behind. Like the Martial Artist, the Swordsman also has its fair share of energy attacks, allowing the player to choose the play style that suits them, with such Energy Attacks as Burning Attack and Focused Kamehameha and Physical Attacks like Multiple Sword Slashes and Flash Slash.

Swordsman Specialization Quest

Step 1: Begin Your Swordsman Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Swordsman Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Sword item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Swordsman Duoke

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Swordsman Duoke is located. Head there and speak with Swordsman Duoke. Complete and accept the quest from Swordsman Duoke. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Collect Desert Metal

Complete this task and return to Swordsman Duoke. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mobs, chat with Swordsman Duoke and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Swordsman. Return to your trainer to receive your Swordsman class designation and special abilities.

Fighter Path

Fighter Specialization

Weapon: Stick

Fighter Sub-Class: High Speed, Physical and Energy Attacks

The Fighter class is an agile, hard-hitting, physical damage well fighter that engages its opponents with high speed strikes from its weapon, the stick. The Fighter's combat style is centered around fast and nimble strikes against its foes, using either its selection of either Physical or Energy based Attacks, such as High Speed Needle, Thunder and Storm Strike or its equally devastating Energy attacks, Big Bang Attack and Final Flash.

Step 1: Begin Your Fighter Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Fighter Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Stick item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Champion Kiba

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Champion Kiba is located. Head there and speak with Champion Kiba. Complete and accept the quest from Champion Kiba. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Defeat Cast Iron Mole Cricket

Defeat the required Cast Iron Mole Cricket enemies and return to Champion Kiba. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

And finally the boss that appears after defeating the above mobs: Ascetic Fighter

Once you are done killing the mobs, chat with Champion Kiba and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Fighter. Return to your trainer to receive your Fighter class designation and special abilities.

Turtle Hermit Path

Turtle Hermit Specialization

Weapon: Wand

Turtle Hermit Sub-Class: High Damage, High Debuff, Long Range and Energy Attacks

The Turtle Hermit class adds more destructive power to play with, and is an excellent choice for competitive play, with its De-buffs and high damage abilities, however can be used in Instanced Combat just as well. The Turtle Hermit gains two more Kamehameha skills, Giant Kamehameha and Super Kamehameha, as well as Consecutive Disks which is an improved version of Destructo Disk. The Turtle Hermit's weapon is a Wand.

Step 1: Begin Your Turtle Hermit Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Turtle Hermit Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Wand item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC New Turtle Hermit Elder

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where New Turtle Hermit Elder is located. Head there and speak with New Turtle Hermit Elder. Complete and accept the quest from New Turtle Hermit Elder. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Collect Energy Sensing Material

Locate and collect the Energy Sensing Material objects in the area and return to New Turtle Hermit Elder. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Crane Hermit Path

Weapon: Fan

Crane Hermit Sub-Class: High Damage over Time, Long Ranged Energy Attacks

The Crane Hermit class like the Turtle Hermit, has greatly increased destructive power, but is more aimed towards damage over time rather than instant damage, this makes Crane Hermit an excellent choice for those who prefer Instanced Combat over competitive play, but can be used in either effectively. The Crane Hermit has several skills, such as Dodon Ray, and Tri-Beam Cannon. The Crane Hermit's Weapon is a Fan.

Step 1: Begin Your Crane Hermit Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Crane Hermit Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Fan item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC New Crane Hermit Elder

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where New Crane Hermit Elder is located. Head there and speak with New Crane Hermit Elder. Complete and accept the quest from New Crane Hermit Elder. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Defeat Burglar Unit

Defeat the required Burglar Unit enemies and return to New Crane Hermit Elder. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mobs, chat with New Crane Hermit Elder and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Crane Hermit. Return to your trainer to receive your Crane Hermit class designation and special abilities.

Plasma Majin Path

Plasma Majin Specialization

Weapon: Drums

Plasma Majin Sub-Class: High Damage, AoE Skills, Crowd Control

The Plasma Majin is a powerful offensive class that does well in parties with its ability to combat crowd control, with Electrical Discharge and Curse Reflection making it an effective class for competitive content such as Tenkaichi Budokai and Team Ranked Battles. Almost if not all, of the Plasma Majin's Abilities can hit multiple targets making it an effective class even in Instanced Content where there are large amounts of targets. The Plasma Majin's Weapons are the Drums.

Step 1: Begin Your Plasma Majin Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Plasma Majin Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Drum item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Prism Majin Abu

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Prism Majin Abu is located. Head there and speak with Prism Majin Abu. Complete and accept the quest from Prism Majin Abu. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Speak with Elder Moori

This step is special. You need to go talk to Elder Moori. Speak with him to receive further instructions for your training.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge:

When you hit the drum, the 2 Saibamen will appear. Defeat them first, then destroy the drum to complete your trial.

Once you are done, chat with Prism Majin Abu and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Plasma Majin.

Karma Majin Path

Karma Majin Specialization

Weapon: Mask

Karma Majin Sub-Class: Single Target, Support Attack, Debuff Skills

The Karma Majin is a single target, highly mobile offensive class, that excels in competitive content, such as Tenkaichi Budokai and Solo Ranked Battles due its assortment of skills that can aid in taking down the toughest foes in the right hands, such as Playful Doll and Hesitation, while the Karma Majin excels in Competitive Content. It can also handle Instance Content, such as Time Machine Quests and Ultimate Dungeons with its multi-target de-buffs. The Karma Majin's Weapon is a Mask.

Step 1: Begin Your Karma Majin Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Karma Majin Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Mask item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Calm Majin Dapu

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Calm Majin Dapu is located. Head there and speak with Calm Majin Dapu. Complete and accept the quest from Calm Majin Dapu. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Clean Your Mask at the Namek Fountain Spring

For this special task, you will receive a Dirty Mask item. You need to find the Namek Fountain Spring, target it, and then right-click on the Dirty Mask item in your inventory to cleanse it. Return to Calm Majin Dapu with the cleaned mask. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mobs, chat with Calm Majin Dapu and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Karma Majin. Return to your trainer to receive your Karma Majin class designation and special abilities.

Ultimate Majin Path

Ultimate Majin Specialization

Weapon: Horn

Ultimate Majin Sub-Class: Defensive Buffs Skills, Great Usage of Buffs in Allies

The Ultimate Majin further adds more utility buffs to its kit, allowing for more potent buffs for you and your allies, such as Miraculous Recovery and Miraculous Spirit which will recover health and energy based on the damage taken, this will affect the entire party on cast, making this a sought after class for competitive and instanced combat alike. The Ultimate Majin's weapon is the Horn.

Step 1: Begin Your Ultimate Majin Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Ultimate Majin Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Trumpet item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Ultimate Majin Biba

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Ultimate Majin Biba is located. Head there and speak with Ultimate Majin Biba. Complete and accept the quest from Ultimate Majin Biba. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Collect Fallen Note

Locate and collect the Fallen Note objects in the area and return to Ultimate Majin Biba. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mob, chat with Ultimate Majin Biba and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as an Ultimate Majin. Return to your trainer to receive your Ultimate Majin class designation and special abilities.

Grand Chef Path

Weapon: Foods

Grand Chef Majin Sub-Class: Offensive Buffs Skills, Great Usage of Buffs in Allies

The Grand Chef Majin like the Ultimate Majin, adds more utility buffs, however while the Ultimate Majin's buffs are more defensive in nature, the Grand Chef Majin's Buffs are offensive, providing numerous buffs to increase your damage and your allies damage output, with skills such as Spiritual Fountain Fragrance and Scent Marking. However the class is not without its defensive buffs, abilities such as Fountain of Smell which increases all allies health by a percentage. The Grand Chef Majin's Weapon are Food being used as weapon.

Step 1: Begin Your Grand Chef Journey

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Grand Chef Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Candy item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Grand Chef Majin Babu

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Grand Chef Majin Babu is located. Head there and speak with Grand Chef Majin Babu. Complete and accept the quest from Grand Chef Majin Babu. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Defeat Lava Frog

Defeat the required Lava Frog enemies and return to Grand Chef Majin Babu. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat: * Kabimong for Training

Once you are done killing the mob, chat with Grand Chef Majin Babu and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Grand Chef. Return to your trainer to receive your Grand Chef class designation and special abilities.

Dende Priest Specialization

Weapon: Staff

Dende Priest Sub-Class: Party Support, Healer, Revive Players

The Dende Priest is a support class, which increases the powerful healing capabilities of the Dragon Clan with the use of “'Kami’s Healing Technique'” and stronger healing skills such as “'Kami’s Mercy'”. Those who prefer the healing play style will enjoy playing Dende Priest, with the ability to revive entire parties with “'Kami’s Revival'” making Dende Priest, a must have in any party. The Dende Priest’s weapon is the Scroll.

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Dende Priest Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Scroll item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Sage Castro

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Sage Castro is located. Head there and speak with Sage Castro. Complete and accept the quest from Sage Castro. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Heal Fainted Adventurer

For this special task, you need to find the Fainted Adventurer and heal them using one of your healing skills. Target the NPC and cast your healing ability to revive them. After healing the adventurer, speak with them to receive information for your next task.

Return to Sage Castro after completing this task. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must help:

For this challenge, the Namekian Adventurer will tank the dragon while you focus on healing and supporting them. Use your healing skills to keep the adventurer alive while they deal damage to the dragon.

Once the dragon is defeated, chat with Sage Castro and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Dende Priest. Return to your trainer to receive your Dende Priest class designation and special abilities.

Poko Priest Path

Poko Priest Specialization

Weapon: Demon Stones

Poko Priest Sub-Class: Offensive Support, Healer, Versatile

The Poko Priest is the offensive variant for the Dragon Clan; while the Poko Priest can still heal, its main focus is being an offensive support, most notably the ability to summon two demonic dragons, one for Defense and one for Offense, Demon God's Fury and Demon God's Rage respectively. The Poko Priest is effective in both Competitive and Instanced content, due to the versatility of the class. The Poko Priest's weapon is the Demon Stones.

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Poko Priest Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Crystal item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Instructor Du Lebo

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Instructor Du Lebo is located. Head there and speak with Instructor Du Lebo. Complete and accept the quest from Instructor Du Lebo. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Collect Stolen Crystal

Locate and collect the Stolen Crystal objects in the area and return to Instructor Du Lebo. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mob, chat with Instructor Du Lebo and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Poko Priest. Return to your trainer to receive your Poko Priest class designation and special abilities.

Shadow Knight Specialization

Weapon: Axe

Shadow Knight Sub-Class: Offensive Tank, High Life, Self-Buff Skills

The Shadow Knight is the offensive tank masterclass for the Warrior; boasting immense health and defenses, they are also proficient at competitive content, due to the innate tankiness of the class, and abilities such as Intense Concentration, which can block critical hits, making Shadow Knight the perfect class for Team or Solo Competitive Content. The Shadow Knight's weapon is an Axe.

After completing the Adult Quest and reaching Level 30, speak with Korin at the top of Korin's Tower. When prompted to choose a path, select the Shadow Knight Path option. Korin will give you the Howling Axe item. Open your inventory and double-click on this item to accept the quest. You will then need to leave the tower by going down the stairs and exiting through the portal.

Step 2: Find NPC Maou Gorin

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Maou Gorin is located. Head there and speak with Maou Gorin. Complete and accept the quest from Maou Gorin. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Collect Hard Stone

Locate and collect the Hard Stone objects in the area and return to Maou Gorin. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mob, chat with Maou Gorin and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Shadow Knight. Return to your trainer to receive your Shadow Knight class designation and special abilities.

Dark Warrior Path

Dark Warrior Specialization

Weapon: Claws

Dark Warrior Sub-Class: Defensive Tank, High Defense, AoE Skills

The Dark Warrior is the defensive tank masterclass for the Warrior, this class can be considered a walking fortress with its arsenal of area of effect abilities, and high health and defense. The Dark Warrior is most effective when completely overwhelmed due to the Ability “'Energy Siege'” which will hit all targets near the Dark Warrior, and “'Dragon’s Punishment'” which will heal based on the amount of targets struck. The Dark Warrior’s weapon are the claws.

Open your map (shortcut key M) and right-click to see the world view. You should see an "X" marker showing you where Great Demon Kella is located. Head there and speak with Great Demon Kella. Complete and accept the quest from Great Demon Kella. After accepting, check your map again for the next destination.

Step 3: Defeat Demon Dragon Leader

Defeat the Demon Dragon Leader and return to Great Demon Kella. This powerful enemy will test your combat abilities, so prepare accordingly. Once you've completed this initial test, the NPC will give you another quest teleporting you to the DEF Test Center for your final trial.

Step 4: Final Challenge at DEF Test Center

At the DEF Test Center, you will face your final challenge. You must defeat:

Once you are done killing the mob, chat with Great Demon Kella and you will return back to original location. Complete the quest and you will finalize your specialization as a Dark Warrior. Return to your trainer to receive your Dark Warrior class designation and special abilities.

Tips and Recommendations

Choosing Your Sub Class

When selecting your Sub Class, consider the following factors:

  • Playstyle Preference - Do you prefer direct combat, support roles, or a mix of both?
  • Group vs. Solo - Some classes perform better in groups, while others excel at solo play
  • PvE vs. PvP - Certain classes have advantages in player-versus-environment or player-versus-player scenarios
  • Combat Style - Consider whether you prefer melee, ranged, or a blend of combat styles
