Ultimate Dragon Ball Online - Features and Updates

Early Game & Starting Areas

  • Reworked early levels for a more dynamic, fun experience — new quests as early as level 4.
  • Starting area restrictions removed — Humans, Nameks, and Majins can quest together from level 1 on any starting map.
  • Popo gifts (levels 2–10): full outfit set plus more rewards across all levels, including a Skill Reset Book and a Class Change item.
Free Character Appearance:
  • Edit your character's look for free on the DBO Dashboard.

Solo / Duo / Trio Dungeon System

Makes dungeon and TMQ content accessible for smaller parties — also known as single-player mode (party scaling).

  • Enter eligible dungeons or TMQs with 1–3 real players (unique accounts, not multibox characters).
  • Parties of 4+ use the original boss drop system (most profitable for direct gear).
  • With 1–3 players, bosses drop Coins of Hope instead of normal boss loot — exchange them at GBT-Hope Collector in Korin Village (near the Auction House) for dungeon-related gear.
Coins of Hope — conditions:
  • Normal mobs keep their original drops.
  • Unique drops (e.g. Cards) can still drop normally.
  • If you are 10+ levels above the dungeon level, the original loot system applies (no Coins of Hope).
  • Coin rewards scale with the number of real players in the party.
Party scaling (difficulty):
Party size Damage reduction BID reduction Skill damage increase
Solo (1) 91% 90% 175%
Duo (2) 80% 78% 125%
Trio (3) 70% 67% 75%
4 players 22% None
  • 4-player parties get damage reduction only — they do not use Coins of Hope.
  • Helps complete older content when full parties are hard to find; endgame players can still progress through earlier dungeons/TMQs.
CC Battle Dungeon (CCBD):
  • Uses the same damage reduction and skill damage amplification as above.
  • Drops unchanged; LP/EP regen stays disabled; other CCBD mechanics unchanged — stays challenging despite scaling.

Piñata System & Boss Drop Rework

  • Bosses on the Achievement List can drop bonus Piñata rewards (chance scales with boss level and rarity — e.g. UD7 Bardock has among the highest rates).
  • Low-level bosses: very low chance; end-game bosses: best farming targets for strong players.
Possible Piñata drops
Brown Equipment Box
Silver Equipment Box
Wagu Coin
Dogi Property Ball / Rare / Legendary
100k LP/EP Autopots
100k Zeny Popo Banks
Lv. 50 / 60 / 70 Scouter Chip Capsules
Saibaman Essence

Hourly Events

Rotating hourly events, including:

  • Jumping Parks (parkour)
  • MonsterRaid (boss waves)
  • Battle Royale

Open World Collectibles

  • Rabbits and Sky Dungeon Sergeants scattered across the world.
  • Drop materials exchangeable at their respective shops.

Time Rooms

  • Accessible from level 35 (very difficult for beginners — most new content is tuned hard).
  • 6 Time Rooms live now — each is an authentic Dragon Ball story run where you fight villains and heroes from the original series.
  • Primary source for cosmetics and unique, powerful Scouter Chips.
  • Frieza Army's Time Room unlocks the new transformation: Unleashed Potential.
West City University — New Age Saiyaman:
  • Brand-new quest line from the New Age Saiyaman.
  • Unlocks Saiyaman outfits and the Saiyaman Dance skill.

Ultimate Dragon Challenges (UDC)

  • Brand-new solo content to grind the system that redefines how classes work: UDC Sets.
  • UDC Coins buy sets that improve Kaio-Ken and even the Dash ability.
  • UDC Sets for main classes (no sub-class) — e.g. Martial Artist can match Swordman/Fighter strength.
  • Effectively 6 new class playstyles to master and enjoy.

CCBD (Crazy Creatures Battle Dungeon)

  • Floors 1–10 reworked for kid characters (level 29 bosses and gear).
  • 101F+ reworked.
  • New and updated sets, including:
    • Legendary level 55 set
    • Level 29 set (kid PvP)
    • Level 70 coin-only set (more planned)
  • Many contents now grant new rewards and titles, especially CCBD.

BIDs, Budokai & PvE Gear Identity

Each dungeon line now offers distinct gear bonuses:

Content Role / identity
UD (Ultimate Dragon) Hybrid / attack speed; Dark Waves (UD5) best for open-world farming; weapons with faster base attack speed to hit attack speed cap solo
TMQ Glass cannon / skill-based
Mudosa Default PvP — bleeding defense & paralysis reduction
Budokai Overall strongest single PvP set (scheduled rework next patch)
CCBD Familiar role with new sets (see above)
  • BID1 example: Tyrant title + Tyrant Killer weapons (strongest weapons currently).
  • TMQ / UD can be repeated to recycle drops into Reinforcement Packages for top-tier gear (bonus effect slot) for extra stats.
Adult Budokai Simulation:
  • Hardcore Budokai-style simulation.
  • Adult Budokai Coin — prestigious reward that resets monthly; earring set improves with each level cap.

Travel & Quality of Life

  • Bus system reworked — routes through every map, fastest travel until you have full flight speed cosmetics + boosters (or Saiyan Pod with Z-Fuel).

Level 70 & Endgame Islands

  • Level 70 fully reworked.
  • Turtle Island and Machine Island created with a new story line and a secret hideout as the final destination.

Class Changes

  • Poko Druid reworked into a summoner / physical hybrid; Poko Staff turns them into a melee DPS.

Ongoing Systems (from prior patches)

  • World Boss System — weekly quests per boss; respawn 30 min (starter maps) / 1 hour (elsewhere).
  • Quest expansion — hundreds of quests including weeklies; quest gear reworked for dungeon/PvP (not upgradeable).
  • EXP revamped; EXP books stack with scrolls.
  • Dragon Ball Hunt 24/7.
  • Token Shop overhaul — more items, lower prices.
  • Mail from level 10; Auction House from level 10.
  • Token points awarded to all party members.
  • Pendulum Room scales with level caps.

Last major content pass includes Solo/Duo/Trio (Coins of Hope + party scaling), Piñata boss drops, UDC, Time Rooms, CCBD/BID gear rework, hourly events, and level 70 islands.
